Community Night is a time when the entire CDSP community – commuting and residential students, families, faculty, staff, alumni, visitors – gathers once a week in Denniston Commons following an evening (5:45 p.m.) Eucharist in All Saints Chapel for fellowship, dinner and an occasional program or visiting speaker.
The evening Eucharist and Community Nights occur on Thursdays in the months when school is in session.
These signature events capture the spirit and diversity and community of CDSP. Alumni, faculty and student have led discussions or programs at Community Nights, which are often followed by a community “staff meeting” at La Val’s pizza restaurant around the corner on Euclid Avenue.
The Community Nights begin after chapel and conclude by 7:30 p.m. This allows time for Forums and 'See CDSP' events. There are no Community Nights on the 4th Thursday In October, November, December or March because of Reading Week, Thanksgiving, Christmas break and Spring break).
A catered community dinner is served in Denniston Commons following the Eucharist.
